The Sturtz/Wilson roadshow is hosting a special screening in NYC of two selections from T/F 2007 - Super Amigos and Night Mail. Night Mail's new score will be performed live by Gutbucket with Willy Wilson (famed voice of the Ragtag Movieline) narrating. Stick around after the screening for Brett Morgen's interview of Arturo Perez Torres, director of Super Amigo.

For those of you who missed the "work-in-progress" screening at T/F this past March, Meeting Resistance is back for an encore performance at Ragtag this week. Showtimes are tonight and tomorrow (Sept. 4 & 5) at 5:15 and 7:30 - including a Q&A with the filmmakers Steve Connors and Molly Bingham after each screening.
Meeting Resistance grants us a rare glimpse into the Iraqi insurgency from the inside. Following its screening at T/F, Meeting Resistance went on to premiere at the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival in April, and a week later it played at the Al Jazeera International Documentary Festival in Qatar, where it was awarded top honors - the Gold Award - for the best long film.
